Serge Côté - Chief Executive Officer

A serial entrepreneur for over 30 years, Serge worked as a manager since the very beginning of his career. His multidisciplinary experience in industries such as aviation, telecommunications, IT, real estate development, and construction and consulting brought him from Quebec to Western Canada as well as to Asia. He has expertise in finance having completed more than $ 100M in financing (equity/debt), including a public offering in 1993.

Marc-André Valiquette - Chief Technology Officer

M.Sc. Biology

Graduated from molecular biology and outstanding horticulturist, Marc-André is the inventor of the root segregator system that characterizes the BIOPONIX concept. He has four patents, one of which is currently pending. He has more than 32 years of experience in biotechnology, 25 of which were devoted to bio-food. Maggie Bywater-Ekegärd - Chief Scientific Officer

M.D. Pathology + Ph.D. Micro-Biology

Senior executive with extensive experience in developing biotechnology and life science companies. Several achievements in the areas of invention, identification and commercialization of technologies for the global biotechnology industry. Most recently, in 2007, she founded and worked as Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation to build a fast growing company in the agriculture sector, Inocucor Technologies Inc., now Concentric Agriculture Inc.

Albert Mondor - Urban Farming Market Director

DTA + B.Sc Biology

Horticulturist and biologist, Albert is passionate about environmental horticulture and urban agriculture. Founder of companies for nearly 30 years, he specializes in the creation of extreme, edible and depolluting landscaping. He has also published extensively on horticulture and food self-sufficiency. He gives courses and conferences across Canada and writes a weekly column in the Casa diary of the Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec since 1999 in addition to participating in various radio and television shows as a host or columnist.

Marc Rieffel - B2C Market Director


Based in France, he was previously a senior associate in an Accounting Expertise Firm with a DECF training from the Institut Supérieur d'Études Comptables, he also graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Marseille Provence, with an option "Operational Marketing" as well as a Masters in Management and Business Strategy. His experience as an independent consultant as well as his role in various business projects led him to co-found the DIVERSCITE France group. He is interested in the root segregator project and has worked closely with Marc-André since 1999.

Lionel Fabert - Chief Marketing Officer

B. Ing. Engineering

Graduate from ECE Paris with an engineering degree in information technology and project management, Lionel began his career at the state-owned company Électricité de France. He has managed numerous projects in the field of information technology applied to the electricity transmission network. He currently specializes in AI, IT strategy, marketing, and business development. He is also a composer and artistic director for the film and entertainment industry.

Maxime Labrecque - 3D Design

B. Ing. Mechanical Engineering

Founder of a 3D modeling firm, Maxime graduated from ÉTS in addition to having a technician diploma in aerospace engineering from the National School of Aerotechnics. He has more than 8 years of experience in computer-aided design including more than 2 years in the field of 3D printing. In addition, he owns the best 3D printers on the market, making it easier for him to design plastic items to better meet customer needs.
